Description: AW HOT SPLIT is a specially sized heat transfer paper designed for use on high speed automatic cylinder presses as well as manual and semi-automatic flat bed presses. The special sizing incorporated during the manufacture of the paper provides for excellent ink hold out and promotes extended shelf life for the printed transfer.

Benefits: The smooth surface of AW HOT SPLIT allows for a consistent even split of ink close to the surface of the paper when using hot split inks. It also reduces feathering when sublimation inks are used. This feature, combined with the special sizing, provide maximum release and penetration of the ink to the garment without creating a mottled or uneven look. In addition, the paper is manufactured with a highly refined pulp to give the paper excellent dimensional stability and consistent shrinkage necessary for multicolor transfers.

Description: AW LITHO GLOSS is designed for high gloss and glitter transfers. The paper is a coated, one-sided grade with a special release coating on the surface of the glossy side. This special coating helps to stabilize the paper and keeps it flat during the printing and curing processes.

Benefits: Specifically designed for gloss and glitter transfers, the paper is designed to remain flat during the print and curing process.

Applications: Paper for high gloss and glitter type transfers. Can also be used for Litho/Screen cold peel plastisol transfers or high gloss puff transfers using special inks. When producing a Litho printed high gloss transfer, it is important to use the proper inks. Be sure to use a transfer litho ink and tell your ink supplier exactly what you are going to be using the ink for. One of the most important considerations is that these inks do not contain bleeding pigments, especially in the reds. The color must be transparent so that the subsequent layer of glitter will highlight the color. Use black in process work sparingly or in outline areas only (Black is not transparent). Colors should be run several shades stronger than in normal printing because you need the highest color intensity possible. It is common to lose some strength in the transfer process. It is also important to coat the litho ink with glitter ink within 72 hours after printing in order to insure a proper bond between the ink layers. Use a very coarse screen mesh when applying the glitter ink. Because of the large deposit of ink on the paper, your will have to allow more time to gel the ink. This is a critical stage and must be determined by trial and error since everyone's equipment is different. If the transfer is under-cured, the resulting transfer will penetrate too deeply into the garment and dull the glitter. If it is over-cured, you will have problems with adhesion of the transfer to the garment. AW LITHO GLOSS is a very heavy sheet and as a consequence it retains heat during the curing process. It is always a good idea to test run a few sheets and transfer them before you proceed with a production run.]

As with all multi-color, screen printed transfers, you should always pre-shrink your paper before printing. The new AW LITHO MATTE offers economy with a wide range of standard sizes to choose from.

Applications: Paper for matte finish cold peel Straight Plastisol Screen or Litho/Screen type transfers. The new 60# design is for use on high speed automatic cylinder presses as well as manual and semi-automatic flat bed presses.. This paper can be run the same as a regular commercial job on 1, 2 or 4 color presses.

Description: SUPER TRANS is a coated two side high release paper designed for maximum release of hot split or straight plastisol inks. This new development is gaining popularity for applications such as 4 color process screening, combination hot split plastisol and plastisol puff, puff overlay, metallic, glitter, high opaque and straight plastisol.

Beneftis: Given that SUPER TRANS is a medium-priced paper, it is a popular choice for multiple applications.

Applications: SUPER TRANS is a high release paper designed for Hot Peel applications for total release of the ink when peeled warm.  Can also be used with special polyurethane inks SUPER TRANS is NOT recommended for litho printed cold peel transfers. Note: As with all heat transfer papers, special care should be taken to properly store and handle this grade. Never leave any unused heat transfer paper exposed. Always store the papers in their original cartons and packages and be sure to reseal or cover any unused paper.
